Crystal.. what a beautiful woman inside and out.
We had been online friends through our photography community for quite some time, but really connected when we attended Jake Anderson’s workshop back in late June. I was instantly drawn to her kindness and her generosity, and we quickly became good friends.
Crystal has such an authentic interest in others, and truly invests herself in their success. As a mother of three spirited boys, I admire how she is always finding time to reach out and encourage friends and fellow photographers. Crystal and I share a love for the tangibility and slow, intentional process of film photography, and the way it captures those dreamy, grainy, blurry moments (especially a good movement shot)! We also enjoy other art forms like painting and ceramics; Crystal loves to collect pottery and has a dream to buy a wheel of her own someday! Other shared passions include thrifting, linen fabrics, art magazines, fashion and interior design of all kinds, and of course… she encourages (and inspires) my obsession of tropical plants. Most importantly, Crystal is always around when I need advice or just an ear to listen. There is just no denying that this babe and I were meant to be friends.
What captivates me most about Crystal is the way that she sees the world. She has such a beautiful way of capturing the quiet and fleeting moments, especially when photographing her family. If you haven’t seen Crystal’s work, be sure to like her Facebook Page and stop by her website!
